Janice Carol Wilcox, 72, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 am Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Salisbury National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends after the service at 140 Wilcox Karriker Lane in Statesville, NC.

Janice was born in Bluefield, VA on June 24, 1949, a daughter of Claude and Dorothy Shrader, both deceased.  She worked in textiles at Sara Lee, where she retired after thirty years of service.  She enjoyed singing, jewelry, and online shopping.  She was a strong woman of faith who adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Cecil Gene Wilcox; daughter, Dina Gregory; her brother, Danny Shrader; and her daughter-in-law, Angela Wilcox.

Janice is survived by her children, Eric Wilcox, Jennifer Vaughan (Jamie);  her brother, Joe Shrader (Eve); her sisters, Ruth Groseclose and Tina Bowden (Lee); her grandchildren, Garrett, Jessica, Shelly, Natalie, Rhyley, Jacob, Jana and her 12 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Nicole Mays and Carolyn Conaway for their excellent care of Mrs. Wilcox.
