Janie Lee Williams Reid, 89, of Stoneville passed away on Saturday morning, August 21, 2021 at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

In honor of her wishes, there will be no service or visitation.

Janie was born in Rockingham County on April 6, 1932, the daughter of Ted Henderson Williams and Ruth Lester Williams, both deceased.  She was a homemaker who loved her garden and flowers.  She enjoyed singing and listening to music, especially Willie Nelson.  She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Reid Wray (Benny) of Stoneville; her son, Brian Reid of Stoneville, her brother, John Williams (Cindy) of Stoneville and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Rockingham County Humane Society or to Hospice of either Rockingham County or Alamance County.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the caregivers who lovingly cared for Mrs. Reid while she was at home.
