Jean Richardson Shropshire, 88, formerly of Stoneville passed away on Saturday morning, September 19, 2020 at Clear Creek Nursing & Rehab in Mint Hill, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.  Jean will lie in state at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home on Wednesday during business hours for anyone who would like to pay their respects and sign the register.

Jean was born in Rockingham County on February 21, 1932, a daughter of Robert Earl Richardson and Eliza Ann Mabes Fulp, both deceased.  She was a homemaker and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Shropshire, her son Danny Shropshire and her beloved grandson, Kris Urshel.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Brenda Jean Cripps; her son, Randy Shropshire and wife Renee; her sisters, Linda Ann Carter and Wanda Leigh Crews; her grandchildren, Klint Urshel, Shea Shropshire Stacy and husband Howie; and her great grandchild, Savannah Stacy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Centenary United Methodist Church, the American Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
