Jerry Wayne Gillespie, 74, of Eden passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.

Jerry was born in Eden on September 17, 1946, a son of Ernest Clay Gillespie and Lenetta Nelson Gillespie, both deceased.  He was retired from Unifi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Wilkes Gillespie and his son, Dale Robertson, Jr.

Jerry is survived by his children, Heather Sexton and husband Joe of Thomasville, Kathy Vaughan and husband Lee of Mayodan and Carol Reed and husband Frankie of Stokesdale; his brother, William Gillespie; his grandchildren, Annah Turner, Alex Turner, Christopher Largen, Landon Reed, Collin Reed, James Robertson; his step grandchildren, Christopher Vaughan and Jesse Ray Vaughan; his great grandchildren, Alexis and Willow and his beloved pet, Rocky.
