Jerry Lee Southern, 63, of Eden passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at his residence.

There has been a change in arrangements.  Services will be held at a later time.

Jerry was born in Patrick County, Virginia on May 18, 1961, a son of Dave Thomas Southern and Novella Bullins Southern, both deceased.  He formerly worked for Karastan Rug Mill.  He was an active member of Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church.  He enjoyed volunteering for Rockingham Hope.  He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.

Surviving are his wife, Beth C. Southern, of the home; his children, Traci Southern Layton and husband Hunter of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Eric Carter of Burlington; his siblings, Donald Southern of Oak Island, NC, Thomas Southern of Eden, Kathy Mabe of Sandy Ridge, Linda Parrish of Madison, Bobby Joe Southern of Mayodan, and David Southern of Burlington; his grandchildren, Natalie Layton, Noah Carter and Elijah Carter; and his fur babies, Gabby and Naomi.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Brenner Children's Hospital.
