John Thomas Dalton, 64, of Stoneville, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Cone Green Valley.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Stoneville Municipal Cemetery.  Mr. Dalton will lie in state from 1:30 until 5 pm on Monday, January 25, 2021 and 9 am until 1:30 pm Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home for anyone who would like to pay their respects.

John was born in Rockingham County on March 3, 1956, a son of George Thomas Dalton and Betty Coleman Evans, both deceased.  He worked for Frontier Spinning and attended the Reformed Community Church of Eden.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his step father, Wayne Evans and the brother, James Dalton.

John is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Wilson Dalton and his beloved dog, Chewy; his children, Leon Rumley, Jr. (Maria), Richard Rumley (Annette), Tabatha Harris (Brian); his siblings, Judy Seagraves and Ricky Dalton (Wanda); his grandchildren, Lisa, Josh, Jessica, Shane, Autumn, Kyle and Samantha; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
