John Fredrick Phillips II, 56, of Eden passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at his residence.

John was born in Eden on December 4, 1969, a son of Lennie Tate Edward and the late John Fredrick Phillips.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his sister, Penny Light Phillips.

John is survived by his significant other, Deborah Chambers; his children, Isaac Thomas Phillips of Eden, John Fredrick Phillips III of Eden, Shania Payton Phillips of Newport, VA; his mother, Lennie Tate Edward of Cherokee, NC; his brother, Chad Everette Phillips of Cherokee, NC; his grandchildren, Ava Marie Jacobs; his nephew, Wesley Phillips; and his niece, Brittany Nicole Phillips.
