John Thomas Unroe, 67, of Eden passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 3pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3pm at the funeral home.

Born in Gallipolis, Ohio and raised in Ivor, VA, he was a son of the late Harry H. Unroe and Lou Jean Smith Unroe, both deceased. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by his son, Neil Thomas Unroe and his sisters, Cindy Melo and Letha Dickerson.

John was a retired welder/boilermaker and a 30-year charter member of Southern Sons MC.

Survivors include, his fiancé, Tammy Griffin of the home; his daughters, Dana Howell and Erin Whitney and husband, Jermario all of Ivor, VA.; his grandchildren, Cody Howell, Sr., Jordan Howell, Carly Adcock and Caleb Adcock; his great grandchildren, Paisley, Gracie, Cody, Jr. Kensley and Harmony Howell; his sisters, Susie Poore and husband, Tim of Amelia. VA and Sandy Beale and husband, Mac of Franklin, VA and several nieces and nephews.
