John William "J.W." Ward, Jr., 81, of Eden passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at his home.

To honor his wishes, there will be no services.

J.W. was born in Eden on November 22, 1940, a son of John William Ward, sr. and Geneva Crowder Ward, both deceased.  He was the owner of Ward's Transmission.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joretta W. Gardner and his brother, Lee Ward.

J.W. is survived by his wife, Carol Buzzard Ward of the home; his children, Angela Ward Benson and husband Donald of Eden and John Ward III "Jay" and special daughter-in-law, Hilary, of Greensboro; his sister, Linda Mitchell and husband Don of Texas; his grandchildren, Lauren Wilson and fiancé Chauncey Graves, Stephen Wilson, Madison Ward, Avery Ward and Slater Ward; his great grandchildren, Ryan Hayes and Colton Wilson; his special nephew, Henry Terry and several nieces.
