Katherine Branston Gardiner Swain, 85, of Eden passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Katherine was born in Statesville, NC on April 15, 1937 the daughter of Thomas Branston Gardiner and Katherine Wilfong Gardiner, both deceased. She was a nursing assistant for many years at UNC Rockingham.

She is survived by Floyd Huffman of the home; her children, Kathy Smith of Greeneville, TN, James Swain of Greeneville, TN and David Swain of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Angie Dillon, Luke Swain, Jon Swain and Joey Swain; 5 great grandchildren and I great grandchild on the way.
