On October 28, 2022, Kathy Gray Belcher earned her eternal reward at the age of 65. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, William Curtis Belcher Jr. (Pete), mother, Maxine Thompson, and father, Robert Thompson. She is survived by her only son, William Curtis Belcher iii (Curt), daughter in law, Brittany Belcher, granddaughter, Abigail Elizabeth Belcher, grandson, Benjamin Peter Belcher, sister, Susan Setliff, and brothers, Robbie and Tommy Thompson.

Kathy was born and raised in Eden, NC where she met her husband. After his passing in 2005, she kept herself busy and involved by volunteering with Eden Rescue Squad. She was an EMT and went on to acquire her LPN Certification in 2014. Her love and passion for Alzheimer's patients allowed her to reach her community and provide love and support in their difficult times.

She attended Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Eden where she received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus Name in 1978. She was the church drummer for over 30 years before she relocated to her dream retirement place of Maryville, TN in 2017. She attended First Apostolic Church of Maryville where she was heavily involved in many of the programs such as the Free Program, Sunday school, trend setters, choir, and nursing staff.
