Kathy Gail Smith Hacker, 48, of Eden passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3 pm Friday, January 10, 2025, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 until 3 pm before the service at the funeral home and other times at 105 N. Johnston Street in Eden.

Kathy was born in Eden on June 28, 1976, a daughter of Lois Pulliam Church and the late David Law.  She was a homemaker.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her infant son, Dustin Smith and her stepfather, Bernard Church.

Kathy is survived by her fiancé, Kelley "David" Daniel of Eden; her sons, Justin Lee Smith and Braxton Gregory Hacker, both of Eden; her mother, Lois Pulliam Church of Eden; her siblings, Misty Cox, Jennifer Dishmon , David Law, Jr. all of Eden and Jackie Law Harding of Bassett, VA; her step mother, Patricia Jones Law of Ridgeway, VA; her step brothers, Shane Wilson, Benjamin Church and Joshua Church, all of Eden; her special niece, Taylor Cox; her special friends, Brandon Reel, Nevaeh Reel, Ashley Sutherland, Mickey Vernon, Lisa Hill and Clara Southern; several aunts and uncles, and a wonderful group of cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Boone & Cooke Funeral Home to assist with the expenses.
