Kenneth "Kempy" Alan Cliborne, 76, of Eden passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Gibson House in Wentworth.

There will be no formal services at this time.

Kimpy was born in Reidsville on October 9, 1949, a son of Claude William Cliborne and Fannie Somers Cliborne, both deceased. He worked as a ground's keeper for a golf course and was an avid golfer and made many friends at Wolf Island and Monroeton Golf Courses. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Tara Hall; and his siblings, Claude W. "Bill" Cliborne, Jr., Christine Cliborne Gentry, Mary C. Dove and Ellis L. Cliborne.

He is survived by his wife, Kathyrn Kelley Cliborne of Eden; his daughter, Peyton H. Hall of Lexington; his sister, Kathy Cliborne of Reidsville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
