Larry Ray Boyd, Sr., 70, of Eden passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Annie Penn Hospital after a battle with cancer.

The family and friends will meet on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 4 until 5 pm at Kings Highway Christian Church, 417 W. Kings Hwy in Eden and other times at the home of Ronnie Boyd, 153 Nance Street.  At his request, there will be no formal services.

Larry was born in Leaksville, NC on December 22, 1951, a son of Clyde Boyd and Nannie Boyd, both deceased.  Larry attended Eden (Leaksville) City School.  He was a truck driver as long as his health allowed.  He enjoyed camping, going to Ocean Lakes campground, and in his later years, enjoyed staying home with family and friends.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Shannon Boyd and his long-time life partner, Debbie Jordan.

Larry is survived by his son, Larry Boyd, Jr. of Eden and his son, Bret Boyd of Minnesota; his brother, Ronnie Boyd (Carletta) of Eden; his sister, Rita McCollum (Charles) of Eden and his beloved dog, Ro-Ro.
