Larry Victor Evans, 76, of Eden passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at the Gibson House Hospice Home.

A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, 752 Davis Street in Eden.

Larry was born in Eden on October 16, 1947, the son of Ophus Bryant Evans and Edna McDaniel Evans, both deceased.  He was an avid animal lover, taking in stray cats and dogs whenever he saw the need.  He also enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Heather Evans and his sister, Deborah Evans.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Barnes and husband Tony of Leland, NC; his sisters, Caroline Hendrix of Snellville, GA, Janet Grimm of Peoria, IL, Donna Campbell and Teresa Gardner, both of Eden; and his granddaughter, Sarah Barnes.
