Larry Franklin Meade, 67, of Eden passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

Services will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church from 12:00 until 1:00 PM.

Larry was born in Eden on September 4, 1953, a son of Franklin Delano Meade and the late Alene Hylton Meade.  He was a truck driver with Estes Express Lines.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Farmer Meade.

Larry is survived by his children, Ricky Meade and wife Lorrie of Eden, Jamie Walker and husband Keith of Greensboro; his father, Frank Meade of Eden; his siblings, Debbie Meade of Eden, Kathy Armstrong and husband Mickey of Eden, Terri Durkin and husband Tony of Charlotte; and his grandchildren, Richie Meade, Zack Meade, Marcus Hensley and Morgan Hensley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Rockingham Humane Society, 205 Boone Road, Eden, NC 27288 or to Emmanuel Baptist Church Camp Fund, 1151 Virginia Street, Eden, NC 27288.
