Larry Gene Witt

   Larry Gene Witt, 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3pm at Charity Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Stuart, VA.

  Larry was born in Martinsville, VA on May 26,1952, a son of Nick Harbor Witt and Nannie Hancock Witt, both deceased. He was a Banquet Captain for Embassy Suits.

  He is survived by his brother, Jack Witt and wife, Nancy of Reidsville and Jerry Witt, and wife Pat of Elkin, NC; his sister, Geraldine Long and husband, Bobby of Eden; a very special nephew that he helped raise, Jimmy Pulliam; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

  In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded by his siblings, Phyllis Long, Nancy Splangler, Carletta Chilton, Launda Witt, Brenda Kallam, Bob Witt and infant sister, Betty Jean Witt.

 The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday April 18, 2026 from 2 until 3pm.
