Laurie Jean Farris, 53, of Eden passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023.

A service of remembrance will be held at 1 pm Friday, November 10, 2023 at Centenary United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall.

Laurie was born in Reidsville on April 3, 1970, a daughter of Harvey Ronald Farris and Marie Tuttle Farris, both deceased.  She worked for Dollar General.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Daniel Burchell; her son, Michael Farris of Stoneville; her sisters, Lydia Farris French of Madison and Angela Simmerly and husband James of Stoneville; her nieces and nephews, Ashley Southern and husband Harold, Greg Farris, Ronald Cloninger and Hannah French; and her great nieces and nephews, Brayana McGhee, Addison Farris, Rhett Cloninger and Levi Cloninger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Boone & Cooke Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
