Lewis William Watkins, 82, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Sovah Health Danville.

There will be no services at this time.

Lewis was born in Henry County, Virginia on July 14, 1942, a son of Josh Weldon Watkins and Lula Purgason Watkins, both deceased.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in Vietnam from 1964 until 1968.  He formerly worked in construction, installing vinyl siding.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, William Wade Watkins; and his siblings, "Skip", "Jumbo", "Bunny" and "Peck".

Lewis is survived by his son Travis Watkins (Wendy) of Stokesdale; his grandchildren, Travis L. Watkins (Brianna) and Dakota M. Watkins (Julianna); his great grandchildren, Cooper and Korbin; and several nieces and nephews.
