Linda Cushman of Eden went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on the evening of March 1, 2015 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Emmanuel Baptist Church where she was a member with Pastor Bob Trogdon officiating. Visitation will be held for an hour prior to the service. Her wishes were to be buried next to her mother in her family plot at Beaver Creek Baptist Church outside Neeses, South Carolina on Friday, March 6, 2015. That service will also take place at 3:00 p.m. with visitation an hour prior to the service and Pastor Gareth Hegler officiating. Mrs. Cushman was born in Aiken County, South Carolina on March 19, 1952, a daughter of Paul and Ruby Huffman, both deceased. She was a lifelong hairdresser and worked at several shops in the Eden area. She is survived by her loving husband Billy Cushman of the home; her son, Paul Ray Bodie and wife Melissa of Springfield, SC; her step daughters, Denise White and husband Mitch, Darlene Farris and husband Norman, Carrie Cushman; her step grandchildren, Robbie White and wife April, Blake Royals, Chelsea White, Jake White; her siblings, Roy Huffman and wife Nancy, Joyce Oates and husband Tookie, Bonnie Hunnicutt and husband Roger; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband and son would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Dr. Hasanaj and the staff of Morehead Hospital for the professional and loving care that was extended to her and them during her battle with lung cancer.
