Lisa Renee Lester Joyce, 56, of Eden passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at her residence.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Glenn's Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm prior to the service at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home before going to the cemetery.

Lisa was born in Eden on October 20, 1966, to the late Ralph Joel Lester, and Lillie May Stowe Lester who survives. She worked as a teacher's assistant for many years, and earlier in her life she worked in textiles.

She is survived by the father of her children, Leon Wayne Joyce of Stoneville; her daughters, Chelsea Hingson and husband Will of Statesville, NC, Melany Joyce and fiancé Wayne Lowder of High Point, and Leanne Joyce and husband Bryson Leffel of Stoneville; her mother, Lillie Mae Stowe Lester of Eden; her sister, Robin Thomas of Greenville, NC; her brother, Jody Lester of Eden; her grandchildren, June-Kellie and Weston; one nephew and numerous nieces.

In addition to her father, Lisa was preceded in death by her daughter, Nycole Joyce.

The family will receive friends at the home of Leon Joyce, 680 Victory Hill Church Road, Stoneville, NC 27048.

Memorial may be offered in Lisa's memory to the Eden Animal Shelter, 205 Boone Road, NC 27288.
