Lois Pace Dodson, 88, of Eden passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Ancora Compassionate Care Hospice Home.  She departed from her earthly home and was welcomed into her heavenly home by her four children.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Friday, April 24, 2026, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Fullerton officiating. Entombment will follow in the Overlook Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm before the service at the funeral home and other times at 181 Meadowood Road in Eden.

Lois was born in Alexander County, NC on August 26, 1937, a daughter of Ernest Raymond Pace and Rosa Lee Teague Pace, both deceased. She was the owner of a family care home. For many years she served others by caring for them in her home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Lois is survived by her grandchildren, Drake Ashton Jones, Sr. (Nora) of Danville, VA and Lora Haskins of Eden, NC; her great grandchildren, Drake Ashton Jones, Jr. and Caylee Haskins along with Gavin Haskins; her son-in-law, John Kallam; and several siblings.  She also leaves behind a close and cherished friend, Chuck Fair.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Richard Oldham and her children, Linda Gail Kallam, Ricky Oldham, Rex Oldham and Rocky Oldham.

The family would like to thank Ancora Compassionate Care for the outstanding care given to their grandmother during her time at the facility.
