Lucille Griffith Woodall, 96, of Eden passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, May 5, 2023 at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 am before the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Lucille was born in Reidsville on October 17, 1926, a daughter of James Marion Griffith and Ada Bell Scott Griffith, both deceased. She retired from the laundry and dry-cleaning business. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Walter F. Griffith, Fannie Dix and Ruth Pope, and her grandson, James Meeks.

Lucille is survived by her husband, Nelson Mitchell Woodall; her daughter, Carolyn Wynne; her grandson, Scott Meeks and her great grandson, Kevin Meeks.
