Margaret Hutcherson Roberts, 90, of Stoneville passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.

Margaret was born in Rockingham County on October 16, 1931, a daughter of Harry Hutcherson and Arnessa Hutcherson, both deceased.  She was a retired front end manager at the former Byrd's Grocery Store.  Her goal in life was to be a "good Mama" to her children and grandchildren because of the loss of her own mother at such a young age.  She accomplished that goal in so many ways.  She had a wonderful life with her husband, John Henry Roberts, who preceded her in death in 2006.  She is also predeceased by her eight siblings.

Margaret is survived by her children, Teresa Smart and husband Dickie of Stoneville, Sheila Hale and husband Randy of Stoneville, Karen Woods of Eden, John Anthony Roberts of Troutman, NC, and Andrea Heilborn and husband Jim of High Point; her grandchildren, John, Jason, Lori, Matthew, Sally, Nathan, Christopher, Katie, Daniel, Joseph, Victoria, Nicholas and Natalie; her 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
