Margaret Glenn Smith, 72, formerly of Eden passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Sovah Health in Danville.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, January 29, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm before the service at the church.

Margaret was born in Moore County, NC on July 23, 1950, a daughter of Numa Hill McCollum, Jr. and Sara McCain McCollum, both deceased.  She was a former employee of McDonald's.  She was very social and enjoyed talking to people.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed singing in the choir.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Smith; her son, Hill Smith; and her sister, Johnnie Thiesmeyer.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Chris Carter and husband Charles; and her grandchildren, Conner, Cooper and Charley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
