Mary Lee "Bay" Hicks was born in Rockingham County to the late William and Mary Hicks on May 20, 1943.  She departed this earth on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

There will be no services per her wishes.

Mary was a graduate of Douglas High School in Leaksville, NC and a member of Robinson Memorial United Holy Church in Eden, NC.  Her passion was cooking and cleaning.  She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Elva Sue Wall and Annie H. "Sweet Pea" Moton; and her brother, William Hicks, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Alicia Price of Eden; her son, James W. "Pug" (Cookie) Dalton, Jr. of Collinsville, VA; her god daughter, Caroline Farmer of Madison; her pride and joy grandchildren, Chelsea (Lonnie) Roberts, Faith Price, Christopher Price; her great grandchildren, Xavier M. Roberts, Raven London Roberts, Ermias Christopher Ray Price; her god grandchildren, Alyssa, Mya and Gregory Farmer; her sister, Willie Mae Allen of Eden and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Garnetta Surratt for her love and care extended to Ms. Hicks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.
