Mary "Peggy" Jones Perry, 92, of Eden passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Gibson House Hospice Home.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.

Peggy was born in Eden on October 29, 1932, a daughter of Ernest Jones and Katie Chilton Jones, both deceased.  She retired from Fieldcrest Mills after more than 20 years of service.  She then began working for the Rockingham County Library System, rotating between the Eden, Stoneville and Madison branches.  She was a faithful member of Draper Christian Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Ladies Circle.  She was an incredible cook, loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Eugene Wesley Perry, her six sisters and one brother.

Peggy is survived by her children, Michael Perry (Rosanna) of Walnut Cove, Larry Perry (Karen) of Eden, and Melissa Perry (David Younger) of Greensboro; her sister, Jo Ann Nichols of Roanoke, Virginia; her grandchildren, James Perry (Sammi), Rachel Koster (Jason), and Kasey Perry; and her great grandchildren, Judah Koster, Ezra Koster, Selah Koster, Luke Perry, Kennedy Perry and Adrianna Broadnax.
