Mary Elizabeth "Libby" McBride Hawker, 78, of Providence, NC passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Annie Penn Hospital.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the House of God of the Apostolic Faith Church, 27 Morris Avenue, Danville, VA. with Elder Bonzell Garland officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2 pm before the service at the church.

Libby was born in Danville on March 21, 1945, a daughter of Robert McBride and Rebecca Hardy McBride, both deceased.  She was a retired assistant manager with Dollar General.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jesse G. Hawker, Jr.; her son, Brian Edward Hawker, Sr., her brother, David McBride; and her sister, Louise Brown.

Libby is survived by her daughter, Teresa Ann Hawker (Jones Oliver) of Danville; and her grandchildren, Elise Hester, Miracle Hester and Brian Hawker, Jr.
