Mary Cabell Purdy, 60, of Eden passed away on Thursday morning, April 10, 2025, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Ridge-View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 am Monday before the service at the funeral home.

Mary was born in Rockingham County on August 30, 1964, a daughter of James Godford Purdy and Charlotte Read Purdy, both deceased. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James Wayne Purdy.

Mary is survived by her sisters, Cathy P. Bailey of Eden and Ruth P. Zech of Mississippi; her nephew and caregiver, Richard Beck; her niece and caregiver, Jennifer Villeda and her children; and her nieces, Elizabeth Bailey and her children, Trisha Watson and Alisha Pratt and her children.
