Maynard Lee Rodgers, 81, of Eden passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at his home.

A service of remembrance will be held at 6 pm Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 pm at the funeral home before the service and other times at the residence.

Maynard was born in Eden on June 16, 1941, a son of Sandy Joseph Rodgers and Elizabeth Hairfield Rodgers, both deceased.  He was retired from Fieldcrest-Pillowtex.  He loved to fish and hunt and was a loving father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joey Rodgers; his siblings, Bobby Rodgers and Mary Stophel; his granddaughter, Breanna Isley and his great granddaughter, Isabella Grace Isley.

Surviving are his son, Tony Rodgers and wife Billie Jean of Eden; his grandchildren, Harley Gillispie and husband Mitch, Stacey Branch; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
