Mickey Laverne Chambers, 73, of Axton, Virginia passed away early Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Wake Med.

A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Charity Baptist Church.

Mickey was born in Spray on October 22, 1947, the daughter of Violet Lester Meeks and Harry L. Meeks, both deceased.  She was a hair dresser.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Mark Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Paul "Babe" Chambers; her daughters, Teresa Hill and Lisa Hailey; her son, Michael Allen Hailey; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the home, 1540 Loblolly Drive, Axton, VA 24054.
