Milton "Byrd" Lee Dickerson, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 11am at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Byrd was born in Rockingham County on May 14, 1952 a son of Ira Dickerson and Josephine Stump Dickerson, both deceased. He owned and operated Dickerson and Sons Flooring.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Porter Dickerson of the home; his children, Amanda Crumpler and husband, Ricky  and Milton Lee Dickerson, Jr. and wife, Sherrie all of Eden; his sisters, Alene Austin of Eden and Beverline Joyce and husband, Mike of Eden; his brothers. Donald Dickerson and wife, Loretta of Reidsville, Bobby Dickerson and David Dickerson both of Eden; his grandchildren, Casey Dickerson and wife, Amanda, Kayla Arthur, Hayli Arthur and Kenzi Crumpler and his great grandson, Chase Lee Dickerson.

Family will receive friends on Thursday evening, August 19, 2021 from 6 until 8pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, 209 S. Edgewood Drive, Eden, NC 27288.

The family requests no food or flowers due to the Covid virus. The family also requests that everyone wear a mask at the visitation and graveside service.
