Miriam Gayle Hand, 72, of Eden passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Ancora Compassionate Hospice Home.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2 pm Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm before the service at the funeral home.

Miriam was born in Eden on June 5, 1953, a daughter of Raymond Roger Chilton and Mollie Odell Chilton, both deceased.  She had a love and special talent for playing the piano.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Randy Chilton, Paul Chilton, Ronald Chilton, Carolyn Lanier, Stephen Chilton and Gary Chilton.

Miriam is survived by her children, Tim Boothe (Susan) of Hickory, Mark Boothe (Wendy) of Eden, Jason Hand of Winston-Salem and Chris Hand of Eden; her brother, Dale Chilton (Pam) of Eden; her half-brother, Forest Chilton (Crystal) of Madison; her grandchildren, Logan Boothe (Wayne), Hope Bluth (Hunter), Maddie Carter (Jeremy), Nick Boothe (Autumn), Emily Warrick (Michael), Chase Hand, Bryson Crawford, Mackinze Crawford, Ryder Oliver; and her great grandchildren, Beau Boothe and Paisley Carter.
