Monroe Wilson Gardner, Sr., 80, of Reidsville passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022, in Winston-Salem.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Friday, March 18, 2022, at Lakeview Memorial Park with Pastor L.C. Taylor officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.

Monroe was born in Laurenburg, NC on April 21, 1941, a son of Joseph Porter Gardner and Caudle Rogers Gardner, both deceased.  He was retired from the commercial construction industry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Dent Gardner and his brother, Joe Gardner, Jr.

Monroe is survived by his children, Monroe "Monny" Gardner, Jr. and wife Tracey of Greensboro, Karen Neiman and husband Mike of Greensboro, Tamika Hussey of Greensboro, Tracy Gardner of Greensboro and Kelly Gardner of Raleigh; his special friend, Peggy Denzern of Winston-Salem; his five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
