Obera Boulding Harris, 88, of Eden passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Gibson House Hospice Home.

A service of remembrance will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 pm before the service at the funeral home.  The service will be live streamed on the funeral home website, www.booneandcooke.com on Mrs. Harris' obituary page.

Obera was born in Eden on September 9, 1935, a daughter of Otis Andrew Boulding Sr. and Elaine Southern Boulding, both deceased.  She retired from Rockingham County Head Start as a teacher assistant.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold "Red" Harris; her son, Danny Harris, and her brother, Otis Andrew Boulding, Jr.

Obera is survived by her daughter-in-law, Pam Harris; her sisters, Judy Walker, Connie Young and Linda Hall; her grandchildren, Julie Combs (Nick) and Jason Harris(Beth); and her great grandchildren, Mallory Combs, Alyssa Harris, Brantley Combs and Danielle Harris.
