Paul Kenneth “Babe” Chambers of Axton, Virginia passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Ancora Compassionate Care, Reidsville, NC.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 4pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.

Babe was born in Rockingham County on October 20, 1941, a son of Crystal Haymore Chambers and Serenus “Sub” Chambers, both deceased.

Babe is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Flinchum; stepdaughters, Teresa Hill and Lisa Hailey; stepson, Mike Hailey; brothers, Gene Chambers and Jim Chambers; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mickey Hailey Chambers, siblings, Mildred Barrow, Helen Shropshire, Bobby Chambers, Tom Chambers and Jerry Chambers.
