Peggy Marie Owen Powell, 71, of Eden passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at her residence.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 2pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.

Peggy was born on July, 23, 1951 in Danville, Virginia, a daughter of Grady Owen and Ada Eason Owen, both deceased. She worked in shipping and receiving for Chase Precision Metals.

She is survived by her son, Edward "Ray" Powell, Jr. and wife, April of Eden; her sister, Bonnie Boaz; her grandchildren, Joshua Hallman, Jacob Powell, Aaron Pruitt, Jeremiah Powell and Ashley Jacobs; her great grandchildren, Aaden, Daniel, Nate and Raelyn; her nieces, Denise and Wendy; her nephew, Matthew  and her special friend, Linda Walker.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her sister, Debbie Holly and her brothers. Clayton Owen and Kenny Owen.

The family will receive friends at the residence immediately following the service.
