Philip Robert Boyles, 85, of Ridgeway, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at his residence.

A graveside service will be 11:00AM Friday, September 15, 2023, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 10:45AM at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home before going to the cemetery.

A native of Rockingham County, Philip was born on February 11, 1938, to the late Robert Eric Boyles and Celestia Talbert Boyles Adams. He was the owner and operator of the Bug Barn where he rebuilt and repaired Volkswagen vehicles. Prior to that, he worked for American Tobacco Company.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Sarah Martin and her husband Joe.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Grogan Boyles of the home; his sisters in law, Lillie Boulding and fiancé, Ron Silvers of Reidsville, and Pauline Walker of Eden; his nephew, Joey Martin and wife, Becky of Reidsville; as well as several other special nieces and nephews.
