Phillip Langston Rich, 85, of Eden passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 2pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 1 until 2pm at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Phillip was born on February 7, 1938, a son of George S. Rich, Sr. and Florence Woody Rich, both deceased. He was well known in the Danville, Virginia area as a well driller, which he did most of his adult life.

He is survived by his children, Glenn Nations and wife, Joanie of Ringgold, VA., Deborah Jones and husband, Sam of Charlottesville, VA., Phillip Nations and wife, Karen of Danville, VA, and Angie Webb and husband, Steve of Eden; his six grandchildren; his 15 great-grandchildren; nephew, Tony Anderson; niece, Arlene Mitchell; and his beloved dog, Honey Bee "Skunky".

In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Kennon Rich; his sister, Jacqueline Rich Anderson; his brother, George Rich, Jr.; and his grandson, Michael Shane Martin.
