Phyllis Jean Chatman Dix, 63 passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Sovah Health Martinsville Hospital.

There will be no services.

Phyllis was born in Rockingham County on September 12, 1958, a daughter of Joseph Samuel Chatman and Lillian Evelyn Janney Chatman, both deceased.  She formerly worked for Tultex.

She is survived by her husband James Edward Dix of Bassett; her sons, Brian Sturgill (Fawn) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mike Quinn of Bassett, VA; her siblings, Billy Chatman of Eden, Barry Chatman (Rhonda) of Eden, Diane Wilson of Eden, Jeanette McDaniel of Reidsville and Joe Chatman Jr. of Eden; several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
