Richard "Rick" Irvin Markham, 78, of Reidsville passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 pm before the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Richard was born in Greensboro on October 17, 1946, the son of Samuel Irvin Markham and Mary Lou Hutchinson Markham, both deceased.  He was a charter member of Victory by Grace Baptist Church where he served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher, a trustee, a deacon and an usher.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Tina Watson and his sister, Susanne Johnson.

Richard is survived by his wife, Patricia Lee Cannard Markham of the home; his sister, Martha Howard of Florida; his brother-in-law, David Johnson of Germanton; his grandchildren, Amanda Watson, Will Watson (Hilary), his great grandchildren, Lillie Edwards Kelley (Brady), Gracie Kennon, Randall Watson, Delanie Watson; several nieces and nephews that he loved, and close friends, Rick Gore and Chris Hodges.
