Ricky Wayne Dalton, Sr., 69, of Eden passed on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11am at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Stoneville Municipal Cemetery.

Ricky was born in Eden on July 29, 1953 a son of George Thomas Dalton and Betty Coleman Dalton, both deceased. He retired from Duke Energy and owned a painting and decorating business.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Cox Dalton of the home; his son, Ricky Wayne Dalton, Jr.; his sister, Judy Seagraves; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved parrot, Poncho.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was predeceased in death by his brothers, James Dalton and John Dalton.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 10 until 11am at the funeral home.
