Robert "Bobby" Leon Hinkle,78 of Eden passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at UNC Rockingham Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 2pm at Ridge–View Memorial Gardens.

Bobby was born in Sun, West Virginia on July 20, 1945, the son of Andrew Hinkle and Maycel Hinkle, both deceased. He worked at Southern Finishing as a machine operator.  He was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Washington Redskins.  He loved spending time with his granddaughter, Brianna.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Brown (Duward) of Eden; his grandchildren, Brianna Brown  (Derrick), CaRessa Hinkle and Robert "L.B." Hinkle (Ceeg); his great grandchildren, Sophia, Kiley, Lacey, Myla, Emberlynn, Wyatt, Alex and Ashley and his granddog, Jax Brown.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was predeceased in death by his wife, Beulah "Kay" Bailes Hinkle; his son, Robert Vernon Hinkle; his brother, William Hinkle and his granddaughter, Kayla Hinkle.

The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Donna Brown at 412 Highland Dr. Eden NC.
