Robert Samuel Minter, 75, of Eden passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at UNC Rockingham Healthcare.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 pm at the funeral home before the service.

Sam was born in Draper on November 16, 1949, the son of Fred Eugene Minter and Grace Montgomery Minter, both deceased.  He served his country in the US Army.  He was an electrician, who loved to fish in his spare time.  He was the "Best of the Best". He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mayodan and was a faithful member of the choir.  He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Amy Minter, and his grandchildren, Thomas and Robby.

Sam is survived by his son, Shane Eugene Minter of the home; his sisters, Ann Gover (Paul), Wanda Hylton (Bob), and Judy Jones (Mack); his grandchildren, Richard, Elizabeth, Samantha, Harley, Michael and Shayna; his ten great grandchildren; and his special support person, Maria Carter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First Baptist Church of Mayodan, 101 S. First Avenue, Mayodan, NC 27027.
