Robert Chaney Newman, 63, of Eden passed away on Friday July 30, 2021.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 4 until 6pm at the Boone and Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.

Robert was born in Danville, Virginia on August 2, 1957 a son of Edward R. Newman and Frances Chaney Newman, both deceased. He was a machine operator at Miller Brewing Company.

He is survived by his daughters, Crystal Martin and husband, Sammy of Eden, Amber Newman of Madison Heights, Virginia and Robin Newman of Lynchburg, Virginia; his sister, Rosemary Dillon of Eden; his brother, Eddie Newman and Wife, Brenda of Ridgeway, Virginia; his grandchildren, Shane Martin, Bryson Newman, Kaleb Rioseco and Korbin Riosceo; his nieces, Tammy Wilson and husband, Rodney, Suzanne DePriest and husband, James and Tracy Newman West and his nephews, Tim Newman and Chris Crowder.
