Ronald "RC" Atterson, 74, of Eden passed away Friday, September 13, 2024, at Eden Health & Rehab Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

RC was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on June 11, 1950, the son of Benjamin Severe Atterson and Deliah Lester Paschel, both deceased.  He retired from the Rockingham Opportunities Corporation where he was a long-time employee.  He worked under various contracts for local businesses, including being an integral part of the contract with Miller Brewing Company, preparing their boxes.  After retirement, RC enjoyed volunteering at the hospital, Lot 2540, Meals on Wheels and at the Rockingham County Animal Shelter spending time with the dogs.
