Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Minter, 80, of Eden passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Dan View Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm Thursday at the funeral home before the service and other times at the residence.

Ronnie was born in Draper on August 3, 1940, a son of Paul John Minter and Vivian Jones Minter, both deceased.  He was a retired truck driver.  He loved fishing and antiquing.  He was a kind and generous man who was always helping others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Greg and his grandson, Shane Aaron Cardwell.

Ronnie is survived by his children, Keith Rorrer (Diann) of Spencer, VA and Cheryl Cardwell (Rodney) of Reidsville; his siblings, Meryle Shropshire of Eden and Jimmy Minter of Denver, NC; his grandchildren, Andrew Tyler Cardwell, Drew Grabbe, Britta Crenshaw, Rebekah Dawn Rorrer; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
