Ruth Moore Eanes, 76, of Stoneville passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm Monday, August 19, 2024, at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Ruth was born in Rockingham on March 31, 1948, a daughter of Fred Moore, Sr. and Mary Penn Moore, both deceased.  She was a hairdresser and a member of Freedom Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Fred Moore, Jr. "Bubba" and her sister, Frances Moore Mabe.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 44 years, Arnett Ray Eanes; her children, James R. Belton (Kristy), Kenneth Witherspoon; her stepchildren, Michael Eanes and Brenda Nance; her sister, Mary Jane Wilson and her step granddaughter, Crystal Terrell.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to her Hospice nurse, Amy Stone, for the excellent care shown during Ruth's illness.
