Shannon Bolden Poindexter, 54, of Reidsville passed away on Tuesday morning, March 14, 2023 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Hope Church with Pastor Jason Riddle officiating.  The family will receive friends after the service at the church and other times at the residence at 370 Penny Lane in Reidsville.

Shannon was born in Reidsville on August 31, 1968, the daughter of Carolyn Taylor Vernon and the late Johnny Bell Bolden.  She was the manager of Murphy USA gas station for many years.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Waylon Bolden, Sr.

Shannon is survived by her husband, James Leon Poindexter of the home; her daughters, Amanda Bailey and husband Scott of Eden and Ashley Foley and husband Christopher of Martinsville; her mother Carolyn Vernon and husband Rickey of Eden; her brother, Ronald Bolden of Eden; her sister and best friend, Pamela Micauh; her grandchildren, Kurtis Poindexter, Trinity Terry and Kennedy Church; and her nephew, Waylon Bolden, Jr.
