Shirley Ann Hedrick Shelton, 84, of Eden passed away on Tuesday morning, June 1, 2021 at her residence.

A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Ridge-View Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Wednesday at Boone & Cooke Funeral Home and other times at the residence.

Shirley was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on August 3, 1936, a daughter of Smith Hedrick and Laura Bowen Hedrick, both deceased.  She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Shelton; her daughter, Paula Rowe and her granddaughter, Laura Light.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Virginia Cochran of Reidsville, Angela Ayers and husband Arty of Eden, April Light and husband Joey of Ruffin; her sister, Mary Ann Barbour and husband J.W. of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Melissa Walker, Amanda Price, Beau Ayers; and her great grandchildren, Alexis Hall, Keenan Thornton, Hayden Light, Riley Dela Cruz and Christian Dela Cruz.
